  • Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within LNG facility. This includes a wide range of equipment like generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, and control systems. The technician ensures the safe and reliable operation of these systems, adhering to safety protocols and contributing to the overall efficiency of the plant.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conducting routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment, diagnosing faults, and performing necessary repairs.

    • Identifying the root cause of electrical issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.

    • Participating in electrical system upgrades, modifications, and commissioning activities, potentially as a project leader.

    • Adhering to strict safety procedures and protocols, including identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.

    • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and equipment performance, as well as preparing reports on work carried out.

    • Working closely with other technicians, engineers, and operations staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient maintenance planning.

    • Participating in initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and safety, contributing to the overall performance of the plant.

    • Occasionally providing training and guidance to other technicians and addressing operators' concerns.

    Specific Skills and Experience:

    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.

    • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using specialized tools and equipment.

    • A thorough understanding of safety procedures and practices related to electrical work.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.

    • Experience with equipment like generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, control systems, and protective relays.

    Relevant Qualifications:

    Level 3 Technician: a minimum of 10 years’ experience, preference for candidates with an Electrical license or Tradesman/Apprentice Certificate and may require a PNG Driver's License.

  • Lagger, also known as an Insulation Installer, applies insulation materials to pipes, ducts, and other equipment to control temperature, reduce energy consumption, and prevent heat loss or gain. Their work involves measuring, cutting, and securing various insulation materials like felt, fiberglass, and polyurethane to surfaces. They also repair or replace damaged insulation and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyzing specifications and blueprints to determine the type and amount of insulation required for different applications.

    • Accurately measuring and cutting insulation materials to fit specific dimensions of pipes, ducts, and other equipment.

    • Securing insulation materials using various methods, including wire, staples, metal strapping, and welding torches.

    • Sealing joints and seams to prevent air and moisture leaks and applying protective coatings like canvas or waterproof cement.

    • Identifying and repairing damaged or deteriorated insulation, ensuring proper functionality and efficiency.

    • Adhering to strict safety guidelines and using personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize hazards.

    • Keeping the work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.

    • Tracking and managing insulation materials, reporting low stock or damaged materials to supervisors.

    • Collaborating with sheet metal workers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project completion.

    • Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.

    Safety

    • Work and engaged in all safe work practices involved in General Plant Maintenance activities

    • Participate in company’s training programs to achieve an accident-free workplace (EPTWS, JSA, LMRA, O&I, Procedures and Processes)

    • Participate in proper stewardship of General Plant Maintenance activities, in accordance with SWP, Rigging and/or Scaffolding requirements, and applicable regulations

    Facility Management

    • Participates in the PSMS (Personal Safety Management System) and ensures compliance with Work Management processes

    • Recommends plant site work execution preparation steps to ensure flawless operation of general maintenance activities, rigging and scaffolding operations

    • Aid in monitoring maintenance activities to ensure the security and safety of all worksite personnel, by ensuring safe and reliable rigging activities, and scaffold assemblies

    • Local housekeeping, waste management and record keeping

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

    • Understanding the properties and applications of various insulation materials.

    • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

    • Identifying and resolving issues related to insulation installation.

    • Being able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and climbing.

    • Ensuring accurate measurements and precise application of insulation.

    • Prioritizing safety and adhering to safety protocols.

    • Effectively communicating with team members and supervisors.

    Work Experience

    • 1-5 years is preferred

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and support accounting functions in compliance with PNG labour and taxation laws and to carry out a range of duties in support of:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Processing and managing end-to-end payroll for over 200 employees in accordance with PNG labour laws and tax regulations.

    • Preparing and reconciling payroll using Attache and Xero systems.

    • Calculating and processing overtime, superannuation, PAYE, NPF, and other statutory deductions.

    • Maintaining accurate general ledger accounts and processing accounts payable and receivable.

    • Assisting with monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and external audits.

    • Ensuring compliance with the Employment Act, Income Tax Act, and NPF Act, including timely lodgment of taxes and returns.

    • Liaising with the Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) and external auditors regarding payroll and compliance matters.

    • Maintaining strict confidentiality and data integrity in handling all employee and financial information.

    • Providing support and advice to staff on payroll queries and entitlements.

    • Understanding salary sacrifices policy/guideline and taxable benefits

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Degree or Diploma in Accounting

    • Current CPA PNG Membership

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll and accounting roles.

    • Sound knowledge of PNG employment and taxation legislation.

    • Proficiency in Attache, Xero, and Microsoft Office applications.

    • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

    • Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Material Preservation Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity and longevity of materials and equipment by implementing and overseeing preservation measures, often in accordance with specific project requirements and industry standards. This role includes inspecting materials, applying protective treatments, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with various teams to ensure materials are properly preserved throughout their lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough visual and documented inspections of materials, equipment, and storage areas to identify potential issues like corrosion, damage, or deterioration.

    • Apply appropriate preservation methods, including cleaning, drying, applying protective coatings (e.g., corrosion inhibitors), and using specialized packaging techniques.

    • Maintain detailed records of material inspections, preservation activities, and any non-conformities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

    • Adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and company policies related to material preservation and safety.

    • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, construction, and other teams to ensure materials are properly handled, stored, and preserved.

    • Implement preventative measures to minimize the risk of material damage or deterioration during storage and handling.

    • Participate in quality control checks and audits to ensure preservation efforts meet established standards.

    • May provide training and guidance to other team members on preservation techniques and best practices.

    Specific Tasks:

    • Applying corrosion inhibitors: Protecting metal surfaces from rust and corrosion.

    • Installing and replacing protective covers: Shielding components from environmental factors.

    • Manually rotating shafts: Preventing seizing and ensuring proper functioning of mechanical parts.

    • Storing materials in appropriate conditions: Maintaining proper temperature, humidity, and cleanliness in storage areas.

    • Using desiccant and packaging materials: Protecting sensitive electronics and components from moisture.

    • Documenting preservation activities and findings.

    • Ensuring availability of necessary supplies.

    Essential Skills and Qualifications:

    • Minimum 1 year experience of working in the same role

    • Understanding material properties, corrosion prevention techniques, and preservation methods.

    • Ability to identify and assess material condition and potential issues.

    • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other stakeholders.

    • Maintaining accurate and detailed records.

    • Participate in Training Dept requirements to ensure compliance with non-MRC requirements

    • Ensure GMC Training roadmap requirements are maintained

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Detecting and diagnosing vehicle faults/ using diagnostic software

    • Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components

    • Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed

    • Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, changing fuel filters, air filters

    • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance

    • Inspect vehicles and issue safety inspection certificates

    Safety

    • Work and engaged in all safe work practices involved in General Plant Maintenance activities

    Qualification Requirements and Skills

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the role
